Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.
Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
Vice President Joe Biden came to New Jersey today to address a labor union rally in support of re-electing embattled Governor Jon Corzine. While whipping up the rank-and-file (it's a Wednesday, shouldn't these guys be at work?) Biden said that Corzine is a key ally of the White House and "labor from belt buckle to shoe sole."
"This is not only one of the most important states in the union, this is one of the most consequential governors serving in any state in the union, and it's critical he be re-elected," Biden said.
Interesting choice of words there Joe. Jon Corzine sure is "consequential"! Let's take a closer look at the consequences of Jon Corzine's tenure as governor.
Rampant unemployment, higher than the national average.
Crippling taxation, and the highest property taxes in the nation.
On top of the high taxes, an onerous regulatory climate that causes businesses to run away from New Jersey.
A seemingly endless parade of his Democratic party cronies frog-marched off to jail for corruption and influence peddling.
A massively underfunded public employee pension plan, "invested" with his good buddies at Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers, resulting in four straight years of double-digit losses. But don't worry union-guys; he's promised to soak the taxpayers to make up the shortfall!
$8.6 billion dollars in school construction money gone poof! with virtually nothing to show for it.
54,000 new unionized state workers hired in the midst of a recession. (Hey, Biden did say that Corzine was a union man!)
Sweetheart public employee contracts and gold-plated benefits packages negotiated over pillow talk with his girlfriend, who just happened to be the head of the state's largest union.
So yes, Jon Corzine has indeed been a very consequential governor.
And, the consequences of four more years of Jon Corzine are too terrifying to
contemplate.
