Letterman sponsor boycott update

It's time for another update to the "boycott Letterman and his sponsors" movement. The response so far has been great. I think we're having an impact. Now it's time to look at where else Letterman's dirty little fingers like to play.

When he's not making sick jokes about raping 14 year old girls David Letterman is heavily involved in a joint venture with IndyCar legend Bobby Rahal. Rahal Letterman Racing sponsors the BMW M3 race car in the American Le Mans Series competition. This is his passion; it's what he lives for. If we can hurt him here it will really get his attention.

Naturally their #1 sponsor is BMW — "the ultimate driving machine" for hack pedophile comics. Do you really want to buy one of their cars? I don't! They have a convenient web contact form. One of the topics on which you can comment is "Responibility". Heh. Ask them (politely, of course) if responsibility entails subsidizing a guy who makes teen rape jokes on national television.

Their car is also sponsored by Escort Radar Detectors. They're presumably used to avoid the cops while he's driving around with underage girls in the car. Why else would a race car need a radar detector? You can ask them all about it here.

Another Rahal Letterman sponsor is The Gehl Company, makers of heavy equipment. They're located at 143 Water Street, West Bend, WI 53095 (telephone: 262-334-9461). My blog buddy Lance lives in Wisconsin; I'll ask him to give them a call to find out if they agree with Letterman's alleged "humor".

How many folks own monitors made by NEC Display Solutions of America? They sponsor Letterman's car too. Do they know their displays are the choice of sick old guys who get off on teen girl rape jokes? I'd think they'd want to know that.

There are other Rahal Letterman sponsors too, listed here. Most of them are highly specialized firms that only do business in the high-end automotive world. But hey, if you're involved in that kind of thing, you could always let them know how you feel about their association with a sick pervert like David Letterman.

Just remember folks, be polite. We're standing up for family values, mom, and apple pie. Stuff David Letterman doesn't understand.
