Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.
Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
Barry elevated bumper-sticker liberalism to a new low when he engraved five inspirational quotations onto an Oval Office rug. Because nothing imparts wisdom quite like reading trite cliches while you wipe your feet.
Bride of Rove decided to play along and list her favorite five. Then she asked for suggestions from the peanut gallery.
Naturally my first selection would be the Reagan quote on my sidebar.
The nine most terrifying words in the English language are "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."
Next I'd add this gem I pinched from Usenet.
The difference between theory and practice in theory is always less than the difference between theory and practice in practice.
And in the same vein, the best .sig evah!, courtesy Dave Jones of Ohio State.
Dogs can't tell it's not bacon.
Words of wisdom which would unfortunately fall on deaf ears in Obamaville.
BoR's friend Vicki offered an excellent Grover Cleveland line. I have a soft spot for President Cleveland because he was born in my town and he was a pretty smart guy (for a Democrat). So I'll swipe this one for my office too.
It is the responsibility of the citizens to support their government. It is not the responsibility of the government to support its citizens.
Yeah, good luck getting Barry to put that one on on his rug!
And finally, let's round out my 5 carpet quotes with tax advice from J. P. Morgan, in case Joe Biden drops by to talk about patriotism or something.
Anybody has a right to evade taxes if he can get away with it. No citizen has a moral obligation to assist in maintaining the government.
Oh, and on my desk, where President Truman famously displayed "The Buck Stops Here" and Barry now keeps a Post-it™ with his next tee-time, I'd have one single word:
Wolverines!
