Technorati and Me
Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.

Is Governor Christie's fiscal responsibility contagious?
Could it really be that Governor Christie's fiscal responsibility mantra is working its way down to our local governments? Consider two recent examples:
Last night the Jersey City Board of Education rejected the latest negotiated teachers contract. Opponents of the contract labeled its 4.7% annual raises as "excessive".
On Wednesday the Hoboken City Council unanimously voted down a new contract with their police force which called for raises of 12.4%.
And yesterday the governor continued leading the way by using his veto power to cancel five professional services contracts awarded by the NJ Turnpike Authority because they exceeded industry norms by as much as 84%.
Like Spring, fiscal responsibility is in the air!
