Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.
Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
New Jersey is now the 32nd state to endorse the traditional definition of marriage as being between one man and one woman. A same-sex marriage bill, championed by outgoing Governor Jon Corzine and State Senate President Dick Codey, went down in defeat 20 - 14 this afternoon.
Finally we can put gay marriage behind us. Governor-elect Chris Christie has stated that he is opposed to same-sex marriage and won't sign any legislation supporting it. So we're safe on that front for at least the next four years.
I'm afraid though that the homosexual agitators won't go quietly into the night. They'll turn to the courts, hoping to find an activist judge or 2 who'll legislate from the bench. New Jersey is full of them, but I don't think even our liberal State Supreme Court is willing to overturn the will of the people's elected representatives.
It's time for everyone to move on. I hope that the supporters of same-sex marriage are man enough to admit defeat and let our government get back to working on the truly important issues facing our state in the upcoming year.
UPDATE 08 Jan 2010 10:01:
The roll call vote tally is here.
It's interesting to note that out of 23 Democrats in the State Senate, sponsors could only muster 13 "yes" votes (plus one Republican). This in what is considered to be a reliably liberal blue state.
Perhaps the progressive agenda isn't nearly as popular as they think it is?
And any hope I had of this issue going away peacefully seems to be fading fast. The proponents vow to move their fight to the courts; they are apparently incapable of taking "no" for an answer.
Check out this video shot by Ledger Live. The reporter starts out by saying the debate was "the most civil he has seen" but it's his closing shot which gives me pause.
A pro-gay-marriage supporter is filmed talking on his cell phone after the vote. His message, clearly articulated for all of us to hear is simply this, gay marriage will "win" when all of its opponents are dead.
And they call us the "haters"?
