Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.
Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
What President of the United States uses "call you out" in a sentence? Is he speaking to Congress or hanging around on a basketball court?
No death panels? Ted Kennedy chaired Mary Jo Kopechne's death panel! (@Mark Ste. Marie)
Does anybody believe a Chicago politican can eliminate "waste, fraud, and abuse" from any government program?
You can't insure another 46 million Americans, reduce costs in Medicare, pay for everybody's prescription drugs, and improve health care delivery in any semblance of a revenue-neutral way. By saying that he can, Obama might as well have promised to personally bring a pony to every kid who wants one.
Now he says he's interested in hearing from GOP leaders with suggestions for health care reform? He hasn't met with any Republican since April. I call bullshit on this one.
"Only 5% of the American people will turn to the public option." Just like Cash For Clunkers would run for a year. He has no clue how to estimate how many people will do anything. The truth is he has no way of knowing the number of folks who will sign up for his public plan. And besides, anyone with even a modicum of actuarial training will quickly realize that 5% of our population cannot pay enough in premiums to fully cover the costs of that plan.
Oh, but his public plan will cost less because Evil Insurance Companies won't skim money off the top for "profits". Profits are evil? This clown really is a Marxist!
Even a wink and a nod to tort reform left the Democrats sitting on their hands. The trial lawyers own them and they know it. Nothing can upset the ambulance chasers who write the golden campaign checks.
No mention of any sensible reforms like association health plans or allowing people to buy insurance across state lines. Just new taxes for opting out of Obamacare. Typical of a top-down, autocratic approach to the problem.
I'll be back later with more. And you can follow the kool-aid drinkers in the
Memeorandum thread.
