Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.
Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
A short while ago the U.S. House of Representatives took a vote to decide on whether or not they should hold an up or down vote on Obamacare. For those of you who are pre-occupied with March Madness let me briefly recap.
Obamacare passed the Senate on a straight 60-40 party-line vote. Subsequently Scott Brown became the 41st vote against it in the Senate. Obama and Pelosi want desperately to pass any health care reform bill, so long as it includes federal funding for abortion. Rep. Louise Slaughter (D), Chair of the House Rules Committee, concocted a procedural Rube Goldberg contraption known as "Deem and Pass". Essentially the House would vote on an amendment to the Senate bill and in doing so "deem" the Senate bill as having passed the House. Once done, the amendment could languish, and President Obama would sign the Senate health care reform bill into law.
Then House members could truthfully if somewhat disingenuously say that they did not "vote for" the Senate bill and potentially escape the wrath of their angry constituents.
House Republicans played a few procedural tricks of their own and forced a vote on a resolution which would require a straight up-or-down vote on the Senate bill. (Anybody still with me here? This is arcane stuff to be sure.) That vote just was just completed.
By a margin of 222 - 203 the House GOP resolution was defeated.
That is, the House Democrats are now officially on record as stating that they DO NOT want to vote "yes" or "no" on Obamacare. They're happy to enact it via procedural shenanigans while whistling past the graveyard, but no way are they willing to stand up and be counted as being in favor of it.
They're cowards. Cowardly, and sleazy, disreputable, unprincipled, and arrogantly power-mad scoundrels to boot. They have thumbed their nose at representative democracy and poked a finger in the eye of the Constitution.
Obamacare, when it is enacted, will be an illegitimate bastard step-child sprung forth as evil spawn from Nancy Pelosi's botox-infused loins. What we need is a congressional exorcist to dispatch this beast back to the depths of the netherworld from which it was conceived.
What we have is Barack Hussein Obama gleefully rubbing his hands together in anticipation of sitting atop a power grab of epic proportions. He will dictate from on high the fate of millions as he consigns our great nation to the universal suffering and misery of progressive socialism.
I for one will not comply.
And if his Americorps storm troopers dare to try and force me? I shall stand
up and pledge my sacred Honor. For, When in the course of human events, it
becomes necessary...
