Technorati and Me
Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.

Nancy Pelosi: If you don't buy health insurance you should go to jail
Our Democratic Party overlords in Washington, DC are more fascist than even I could have believed. Their latest version of health care reform contains the stipulation that everyone must buy health insurance. If you don't buy it, the IRS will assess you a 2.5% penalty on your gross income. And if you don't pay that penalty, you go to jail.
Americans who do not maintain "acceptable health insurance coverage" and who choose not to pay the bill's new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.
A reporter asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi if this was "fair".
Stone: Do you think it's fair to send people to jail who don't buy health insurance?
Pelosi: ... The legislation is very fair in this respect.
Got that?
If you don't spend your money the way that Nancy Pelosi wants you to, she will put you in jail.
You don't get a choice because it's for your own good, and for the good of the country. Nancy Pelosi knows what's best for you better than you do.
Can you think of any other product or service which is so darn wonderful that people should be jailed for not buying it?
Neither can I.
You'll note too that Pelosi exempted her royal ass (and the rest of the Congress to boot) from the ObamaCare mandates. You and I have to subsidize her utopian health care reform plans, but she doesn't.
Is this America, or Stalin's Soviet Union? Does Pelosi know the difference?
