Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.
Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
President Obama promised us "transparency". Senator Max Baucus says "not so fast". Senate Democrats suppressed a Republican amendment to the health care reform bill that would have given us (you know, the voters and the taxpayers) 72 hours to read it before his commmittee voted on it.
His reasoning? It would have slowed down the process.
This is why I oppose ObamaCare. If it really was A Good Thing for America they'd be proud to showcase it. But Baucus learned from H.R. 3200; after it went online the Tea Party crowd tore it apart. You'd think that would be the epitome of representative democracy. I know that I do. But, Max Baucus doesn't think so.
The Baucus bill is the 4th iteration of a Senate health care reform plan. Yet because the Senate deals in "conceptual language" rather than "legislative language" they'd have us believe we aren't sophisticated enough to comprehend what they've written.
What they really mean is they're making this stuff up as they go along. Too much attention to detail ("legislative language") leaves them without the wiggle room they need to appease all their special interests. On this side of the looking glass the bill means what Max Baucus says it means, no more and no less. And Max Baucus is still busy pandering, wheeling, and dealing, and obfuscating.
What emerges may or may not be real health care reform. We won't know until it's too late. Like Obama's $787 billion Porkulus spending spree this turkey is likely to be passed in the dark of night and quickly enacted before its full effects can be determined.
The country is in the very best of hands.
